English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have reignited interest in Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface following his exceptional debut season with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. The 24 year old Nigerian has emerged as one of the hottest properties in Europe, contributing 21 goals and nine assists across 34 matches and playing a vital role in Leverkusens historic unbeaten campaign that included both league and DFB Pokal titles.

According to Give Me Sport, Leverkusen may consider selling Boniface this summer, especially if current manager Xabi Alonso departs the club. Tottenham, who had previously shortlisted the Nigerian before opting to sign Dominic Solanke, are reportedly back in the race to secure his signature.

Despite boasting an array of attacking talents including Son Heung-Min, Richarlison, Maddison, and Timo Werner, Spurs have endured a poor domestic campaign, languishing in 16th place. Their hopes now lie in the UEFA Europa League, where they face Bonifaces former side, Bodo/Glimt, in the semi-finals.

Tottenham are not alone in the chase. West Ham United are also monitoring the Nigerian striker, while a potential move to the Saudi Pro League fell through earlier this year. Interestingly, Boniface has expressed a preference for a future move to La Liga rather than the Premier League.

With transfer speculation heating up and his stock at an all-time high, Bonifaces next move could be pivotal as he enters the peak years of his career.

Victor Boniface is more than a striker hes become a symbol of Nigerian excellence in modern European football. From Europa League headlines with Union Saint-Gilloise to Bundesliga glory with Bayer Leverkusen, his rise has been nothing short of meteoric. That Tottenham Hotspur and other Premier League giants are circling is no surprise whats interesting is how Boniface himself views his future.

Hes made it clear that Spain appeals to him more than England, and we applaud that clarity. Players at this level should make career moves that align not only with finances and trophies but with systems, cultures, and personal growth. Boniface thrives in fluid, tactical environments something La Liga offers in abundance. But if Spurs, or even West Ham, offer the right vision and guarantees, he could well be tempted to test himself in the worlds most demanding league.

Tottenham, currently struggling, would be lucky to land him. But lets be honest Boniface has Champions League pedigree and title winning momentum should he really be settling for a club outside the top six?

The next few months will define his trajectory. We hope his advisors choose wisely. Boniface is no longer a talent to develop hes a match winner, ready to lead the line for any club with serious ambition.
